Amulets

Hello all!

It took me much longer then I thought to get this ball rolling but life does seem to happen and gives one little time to recover or settle down before the next thing comes around. Though I think I am now to the point where I can now put all the research and writing I have been doing over the last year to work for me, which is such a nice feeling. As always I hope you all enjoy and find some useful information.

This time around I am going to try some new layouts and themes then I did before. Change things up a bit and have fun with it, but as always provide some amazing information for my readers.

Amulets

This week I want to look at amulets. We all seem to have at least one item that we carry around or wear that falls into this definition and many know very little about what it is their amulet can do for them. An amulet is a magically charged object you wear or carry which deflects against negative energies and attracts good energies. It is a close relative of a talisman which means "to initiate into the mysteries” consists of any object intended to bring good luck and/or protection to its owner. Examples of amulets would be a generally small item made of natural materials such as stone, wood, shell, hair, bone gem and so on.

Here is a sample list of what can be made into an amulet along with the magickal meaning.

Acorn: Attracts the opposite gender, increases income, divinitory powers, and prosperity.

Agate: Good luck, meditation, protection, health, purification.

Akhet: Represents the rising sun, said to give wear vigor of the sun god Ra.

Aladdin's Lamp: Good luck, happiness, make dreams and wishes come true.

Alligator Teeth: Protects you from all forms of sorcery and danger.

Amber: Balance, harmony, protection, psychic power.

Amethyst: Power, peace, protection, spirituality, intelligence, luck, psychic power, true love.

Animal Shapes: Amulets made from any material representing the shapes of animals. They are supposed to give the wearer the desirable qualities of the animal.

Ankh: Good health, promotes fertility, and strengthens the psychic powers.

Arrowhead: Protects from enemies, bad luck, hexes, jealousy, evil spirits, and all negative forces.

Bear Amulet: Wearing a bear claw will help a woman during childbirth and increase physical strength.

Bell: Ward off the evil eye and dispel hostile spirits.

Billiken: A good luck ornament in the shape of a human figure.

Bull: To increase fertility in women and men.

Cat:  Prophecy, luck, protections, psychic ability and the granting of secret wishes.

Candle Wax: Candle wax can be carried for a week after used in a ritual and/or spell to keep those powers used, available.

Chains: Stop others from using their psychic powers on you or hexing you.
